unexpected surprise: really delicious ice cream!

Big Shots Photo Studio
280 Main St (2nd Fl.)
In business: 2.4 years
Be careful not to miss this business just because
they're not street level! They offer a number of
different package deals, can help you put together a
modeling/acting portfolio, will do the photography at
your wedding, and can even give you a makeover
before your photo shoot!
VAULT
308 Main St
In business: 21 years
At current location: since 1995
Cool sneaker selection! And one
of our surveyors found a great
bathing suit for her husband for
their upcoming vacay!
Valu-Mart
314 Main St
In business: 22 years
You can really get everything you
need here. Extensive selection of
hats, kitchen supplies, toys, hair and
beauty products, and seasonal items
as well. They have friendly, helpful
staff and are a trusted pharmacy for
the local community.
Lisa Deli
328 Main St
In business: 15 years
Still owned and operated by Lisa
herself, and she can usually still be
found behind the counter preparing
food or helping customers. There
are always delicious smells wafting
out of this place, tempting you to
step in and get a quick bite.
Golden Krust Bakery
303 Main St
In business: 6 years
Small chain/franchise
This is one of the most popular
lunch/snack spots on Main St, there is
almost always a line! (but don't worry,
it moves fast.) We recommend the jerk
chicken wrap. Owner Loi is very
involved in the community and can
usually be found handing out sample
patties at local events.

Shoetique
331 Main St
In business: 25 years
Also sells uniforms/scrubs, discount clothing, and accessories.
Owner started working on Main St as a kid, still lives nearby in
West Orange.
Rossi Paint
403 Main St
In business: 55 years
On Main St: since 1980
We very much appreciate the fact that Mr. Rossi
actually took some time out of his busy schedule to sit
down and chat with us about his business, which has
been an Orange staple for over 50 years. Perhaps
this type of attention is one reason why he has been
so successful and why, as he said "once people try it,
they usually remain customers for a long time." Mr.
Rossi explained that he chose Orange because it's a
great central location. They had to relocate when 280
was built and they've been on Main St ever since.
They have their own brand of Rossi Paint that is made
specifically for them, to certain specifications that they
give based on what their customers want.

Las Palmeras
350 Main St
In business: 6 months
The menu is a mix of Latin and Italian classics (the
owner also has an Italian restaurant in Cedar
Grove). You can get a chicken parm sandwich OR
lomo saltado here. Its very nice, slightly more
upscale-looking on the inside than most other Main
St restaurants but not upscale in price, which we
can all appreciate. Since opening just 6 months
ago, the owner says business has been good so
far.
Truway Vision Care
311 Main St
We were pleased to find that this business, owned
by Dr. Stella Korieocha, was yet another business
on Main St. operated by a woman! Not only that,
but they seem to be pretty reasonable- $100 for
frames AND lenses?! Even if you don't even need
glasses, you'd want to get a pair for that price!
