The project has a two-fold mission: to promote my memoir, From One to
Ninety-one: A Life, with as much energy and imagination as possible in
order to accumulate a fund that will enable us to publish writers who could
not easily obtain a publishing contract, including the elderly, members of
the working class and new writers whose names are unknown. This will not
be an easy task since we have kept the price of the book as low as possible.
Every sale means we gain only $5, so we need lots of help in publicizing the
book.

Our second goal is to promote the idea that writing in itself is healing.
Think about it: you spend your life working hard, raising bratty children
and trying to produce decent work on your job. If you can take the time to
write about it, you will find that the bratty children turned out to be
competent and able people, and the bills got paid so you could live, and
along the way, you tried to do as much good as you could, knowing all the
time that almost everybody you knew was facing more difficult problems
than you. The writing brings serenity, acceptance and joy.
